Turn Red is a movement sponsored by Wesley Medical Center to encourage Wichita-area women to become more heart healthy.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America, killing approximately 450,000 women a year - or about one woman every minute. Wesley strives to educate the public about this serious issue while promoting heart-healthy initiatives through community involvement, including sponsoring Go Red Wichita, an event that takes place on the first Friday of February that is a local movement of the American Heart Association's national Go Red for Women campaign.
As a leader in cardiac health, Wesley hopes to encourage Wichita women to Turn Red and adopt more heart-healthy habits.
